are there 2 smaller studs on the face of that noid? if so its a ford style starter noid. FBI sells em in their bag kits... they suck and blow.

You can run them continously. as soon as you hit the key, one of the smaller studs should be hot, when you try to start, the right side big stud is the starter feed, it turns hot.

looks like it has a label on it. have the parts house cross-reference the number and see what they come up with. continuos/noncontinuous still should be able to get it from a high end parts house like napa.

audio shop should have the stinger too id think. i got mine thru a custom shop in Sarasota rather than SD

it is a cheapo starter solenoid. basically a high amperage relay. a regular bosh or seimens relay will only hold at maximum 30 amps, a starter solenoid will hold much more current. a ford starter solenoid is similar to that and is probably only 10-20 bucks at a parts house. they arent the greatest fix but its a cheapo way out

Its a Starter solenoid. I use starter solenoids on all the stuff I do but not a Ford one. They dont last long at all. I use one thats meant for tractors. Its 12volt continous duty. If you go to a good parts store ask them to see the catalog they order shit from and look at all the solenoids. Just find a 12volt constant one. Mine on my truck is 8yrs old and no problems. Cost about $50 bucks

it looks like a starter solinoid but in fact it is a relay you want one the is contious.got mine from an r.v dealer 100 per cent duty and was like 20.00 dollars

you can also go to a fork lift place and get those solenoids but i would go with the stinger one

Napa for sure carries the continuous duty. thats what i run with no probs with dual viair 380s. run around 50 bucks and have in stock, and yes the ford ones will burn out.
