im gonna be bagging my truck soon and have a few questions. how should i set up the 2link? do the bars have to be parallel at ride height? what should the pinion angle be at?

as for the front, how much of the spring pocket should i cut out with re-7's, drop spindles, and 20's?

does anyone have a diagram to show what fittings to use and where? what about wiring the compressors and switches?

its a 93 chevy fullsize and it'll be a front/back setup with 2 switches. thanks

suicidedoors.com has some diagrams on there of how to wire the switches and compressors. are you going for frame only? you will need to modify or replace the tranny crossmember or it will make you unlevel. tank needs to go up an inch or two as well. i dont think those trucks need a z for the frame, but im not sure. as max always says, set things up at half travel. not a minitruckers ride height, which is very low. so, make the bars parallel or near so at half travel. i would run the bags on the bars. somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 of the bar from the front. so the middle or farther back. this will get better lift, and ride better. 7s are the norm for a fullsize, so it shouldnt be too bad. are you running a slam specialties bag, or another brand? slams dont expand outward, so they can run a bit tighter clearances. im sure lots of people will chime in with info on how to hook stuff up.

another thing, if you want to make it really clean and simple looking for the switches, and to keep passengers from messing with them, get the switch panel from a tahoe/suburban. then wire the rear switches to the bags. boss has his 01 like that. really clean. but, i would run the ground for them through an on/off toggle/rocker switch so you can disarm the others to prevent accidental use. then mount that somewhere out of sight, but accessable...like the ash tray.

why are you going w/ a 2 link?

also, pinion angle is diff for each vehicle depending on the tranny angle.

its common on the big chevys like that. it seems to work though. i just dont like the wheelbase change it causes.

its what i have. it was given to me for my birthday from my girlfriend and she would kill me if i went with anything else. the truck wont be driven often and its something simple. i dont plan on running it forever.

mine is 2 linked and its just fine no probs

just curious about why you chose the 2link. i hear people praise and bash them all in the same breath... HA!

alot of the people that bash them are just on the bandwagon. they all seem to think that they are unsafe but as long as they are installed correctly and used appropriatly they are just fine.

my boss it was his daily for a long time. he hauled race bikes in the back, and trailers with more. still solid. but, his bars are made of like 2x4x1/4" tube. and they are u bolted in at the axle end.
