i guess im not the only one thinking about this. i personally dont give two flying fucks about anyone elses opinions on my suspension setup. run your 4 links i dont give a shit. i'll run what i want on my truck thats all there is to it. i know that its not the best setup to run but im still gonna run it because it will do what i want it to. if i want your opinions on my suspension i'll fuckin ask for it, but i didnt did i?

i got a new slogan for this place

"SSM... where everyone bitches about your truck, but cant work on there own shit!"

or

"SSM... where all you need to be a keyboard commando is a user id and a seat on the fucking bandwagon."

hahaha i like those slogans, personally ive had 2 links, tri four links, parralel four links and ive had independent rears. they have all worked great for me. set up properly they will all work, some jus offer advantages over others, i say if you want and like your 2 link, keep it, to hell with wat other people say as long as its safe and strong

and for your questions, since a 2 link does cahang pinion quite a bit through travel, i would set your pinion at the ride height you want it to be at. any higher or lower it will change a possibly vibrate. also be sure to check when the truck is layed out that your driveshaft isnt pussing into the transmision. 2 links will pull your wheels forward when layed out. you def can fuk up a tranny that way. for the front, should need minimal trimmin to the lip on the pocket and possibly tie rod clearance depending on tire size

dragula, the 1st slogan u put up is me all day. but listen to Cobb he knows his shit. he's told me the pros and cons several times about all the diff types of rear setups.

You guys are the WORST!

"I love my hammer, it takes all the parts off my car real easy like and I don't even have to worry about if it's metric or standard."

My mama always told me not to get into arguments with idiots because they will drag you down and beat you with experience.

A few things about 2-links...

1. 2-links are not desireable on a bagged truck! Period!

2. Can they be set up to work for a daily driver that commutes to Japan every day without breaking? Yes.

3. Will a 2-link allow articulation without bending or flexing something? No. On the best 2-link, the rearend acts as an anti-sway bar.

4. Will the pinion angle stay within a tollerable working limit? Only if the travel is kept to a minimum (like less than 8 inches.)

5. A well designed 2-link can work better than a poorly designed 4-link, but a medeocre 4-link will perform far better than a perfectly designed 2-link.

6. A well designed 2-link is still better than a perfectly designed reverse 4-link.

7. Do I suggest that you spend your time building a 2-link? No.

8. If you are going to build a 2-link, should you do your homework? Yes.

9. Should you go online and tell the world how well your 2-link works just to start a debate? No.

This is why they are cracking down so hard on everyone about shit talking.
