you rarely see a bd truck with the factory hood release with big wheels....its just so much easier they shoulda made it factory having the hood release in the fender

my battery is in my bed and i have a wire in the battery box that rolls up and down my driver window. window doesnt need much current to go up and down so as long as the battery isnt completely dead itll still go down.

hood release under the fender somewhere is nice but if the battery is in the back/relocated else were your still s.o.l.

the best thing to do is shave the doors and install poppers without any backup system. then you can worry about it when you have a dead battery

This has happened to me two time now, NO BACK UP. Had to take my grill off pop the hood open then jump the burb to get in. The only thing back about a latch under your fender bed or other place,Is people with sticky hands like to get into your ride.they can cut your alarm wire to your horn and if you dont have a good 2-way pager for your alarm you will never know they were in your ride untill its to late.Just FYI.

It seems like it always happens at the wrong time too. It happened to me in the freakin rain. I had the battery jump prongs I got at a race car shop. I just didnt have anyone to jump it.

What everyone has suggested about an accessible jump terminal is your best bet to prevent this in the future...
The nicest way I have seen it done is hidden behind the plate (front or rear) where you can get to them with a simple tool, but everyone and their brother can't tamper with it and it won't get dragged.

If it is dead because you left the lights on, you can try connecting a charger thru one of the exterior lights to get you in for now.
Alternatively IF you can jack up the truck you can jump it form another battery on the starter terminal without needing to pop the hood.

Good luck
