I talked to this guy once that built low riders in the seventies. He said that they would heat up blocks of metal and then dip them in different kinds of oil to get different colored sparks out of them.

i like to find neighborhood cats and strap them on, no sparks, but you get a cool sound for about a second then red stripes down the road. dont last very long but very cool.

You are right on the spelling....I just put a 2" schedule 160 t91 w/inkanel wear plate drag bar welded solid to the roll pan and bed sides (basically plated the very bottom of the bed) and it throws some killer sparks just takes like 30 seconds of dragging to start sparking
