I've seen an increasing line of shop owners saying they didnt know this or that. They didnt realize their people did it that way. The "I would never let that leave if I knew".

Question....
How big and busy is your shop to where you DON'T know what is being done or what is going out? We aren't talking about a huge plant or more then 50 rides at once to where you cannot see what's up. If you don't see what's going on then you need to reevalute your business. Because its YOUR name on the ride.

Another thing. What's up with all these people ripping on customers pointing out shoddy work? I mean hell almost all have pictures to back it up. It's not their fault your friend ****** up is it? They were trying to support your friend with their money. So now they are pointing out and warning others. Which is what we are supposed to do in this scene sport lifestyle.

It sucks shops have hard times.. But lately it has nothing to do with hard times. Just not double checking workers. It shouldn't take a thread and a return trip to make it right. It should be done the first time for the price agreed upon.

Maybe shops should look into not taking in so many rides. Because how could you honestly work on 10 plus rides with a 2 man operation? Only reason to have that many there is to rob peter to pay paul. Which ends up as a thread on here.

Or is it the "circle of life"??

Exactly, if anything the employee line smells of a cop-out, to not admit, you let that work, roll out of your shop. My best example being Boyd, do any of you guys think, that while he had the tv show going, the rim company (at one time), and that very large shop (10-20 actively being built rides) never did a once over on any of the rides that left with his name on it?

I just find it really hard to believe a smaller shop with 3 or 4 rides, and only 2 to 3 guys working, that no one noticed, half the welds were on top of paint/rust/coating, and barely penetrated the steel enough to keep from falling off via gravity.

After my 3+ year saga on a brand new truck, I'm convinced there isn't one honest or decent paint, body, or suspension shop in all of New Jersey!

IF there is, PLEASE let me know!!

It sucks having to pay twice, sometimes three times to fix the last guys fuck up!

Crazy shit for sure everybody gets over their head sometimes with work load but there is no excuse for lying to customers or doing shoddy work

I manage a custom/ restoration shop and I do not let anything leave that is not 100%. I do several daily checks of all work being performed.

I place the blame on the person who has a position of control over employees and/ or who is the person that the customer talks to about their vehicle while it is being worked on by the shop.

Why would someone even pick up a ride that was done poorly?
i know everyone can't weld or fab,but you can't tell me you are just gonna lay down 3 gs to get your truck bagged and not check the work!I know i work hard for my money and take care of my son,so if i pay for some work like that and it isn't right... i am not gonna roll it home and bitch about it later!I'm gonna want some answers right there on the spot!

If you claim to be a business then be a man and take care of the people that support your business!
