what is that pipe coming through on the left of your pic seth....thats had me stumped for a while now..

thought it was an exhaust setup, but why would it be near the truck when hes working on it. and its not holding the front clip (well that piece anyways, maybe the motor stand is) because its lower than the crossmember.

edit: i take that back, i only saw the front one. looks like theres another one farther back and it is infact holding it up to some degree.

Its called a bumper jack. Its a 60s Milwaukee unit. I used it to hold up and level the clip. Made it very easy to place everything and adjust. I just tacked the cross member to the arms that come out.
