ANYBODY GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS

I bought new components for my dime and hooked them up,all I get is a high pitched whine through the speakers.My subs and dash speakers work fine.I changed the RCA's and that didn't do the trick.Anybody got any suggestions?

Check all your grounds. Also check to see if any of your door or dash speakers are blown. a buddy of mine said he ran into that when he was doin a corvette.

We probably need more info, like I am assuming these new components are amped. did the old speakers whine? are you using factory door speaker wires? is there a passive crossover being used separating mids from tweets? where did you mount this x-over?
My guess, since you checked rca's and your grounds. I am guessing you never had this problem before... check all your wiring, something is pinched and grounding out. maybe even check the speakers them self. are the speaker terminals accidentally grounding out on metal inside the door? if the factory speaker spacer wasnt used, the speaker comes real close to door guts (window tract). make sure while re-assembling the door, you didnt accidentally run a screw through tweeter wires. if there was a xover, are the terminals touching metal?

I know my door speakers aren't blown because those are the ones I just bought and the dash speakers aren't blown either.I'll check the grounds.Thanks for the help bro.

No I didn't have this problem before.I bought an in dash dvd player down at ITB and had circuit city hook it up,when they got done is was making somewhat of a noise and they said that is because my passenger side door speaker was blown.I waited awhile before I got new components and then hooked them up and it got worse.The dvd player is a pioneer and the speakers are amped.Im using aftermarket speaker wire on them.There is a crossover mounted in each door.Thanks for the help and I will check some of the other ideas you gave me.

is your power wire next to your rca ? if so seperate the two, run the rca on one side of the cab, and the power on the other side, the whine is whats called alternator whine, when the engine rpm increases the noise becomes louder or a higher pitch

You could also get the noise filters that hook into the rca's. I had alot of problem with my system and not matter how I changed it or ran the wires there was some noise untill I put the filters in, they are easy to install and I put mine in right behind the head unit. I have 3 rca's and put one on each of them, worked great!

Ok today has been a real pain in the ass.I checked all the stuff like the ground wires,put new rca's in,ran new speaker wire and it is still whining.I really am lost here guys.The power wire is ran away from the rca's.Thought it might be the amp,but I hooked them up to my subwoofer amp and it did the same shit.Does anybody have any more suggestions.Please!!
