Ya I understand they installed the deck. that black wire off the back of the deck should hookup to the main vehicle stereo harness. Usually they use a special wire harness that connects to the deck and the vehicle. And on there they have it so you can hook up the black ground to the vehicle ground. Do you understand what im talking about?

A ground should not be hooked up with a wire that is marked battery first off, second try hookin a ground to the frame and not the cab. I had to ground my amp to the frame.

Make sure all your grounds under the hood are in place. When I was an installer, we had a chev truck that just got painted come in. When we took it for a drive after installing, it had wicked engine whine, after searching for like 2 days, turned out the ground from the battery only went to the engine, but the one to the body was disconnected. Once we hooked it back up, the whine went away! So check to see if you have a ground from the battery to the engine block, and a ground from the battery to the body. It also wouldn't hurt to run one from the engine block to the frame as well.

well I checked my under hood grounds and they were hooked up.On my installation manual is shows a yellow wire coming out the back of the deck and it says to hook it to a constant power source it also shows it being tied into the ground for the deck.Doesn't really make any sense to me.
