"underslung frame"

im in the beginning phazes of buying my steel and wut not for my 02' dime. plan on running duel 2"x3"x1/4" on its side down both sides. (like mike alexanders old project). mines been through many, many phazes and finally got it featured for minitruckin' mag, now time to go big, doin it to the doors. prolly gonna be quite a few months before i go at the new frame, im really wantin to go "underslung" because its cleaner (i.m.o.), wicked looking and havent seen too many of em' dunn. can anyone elaborate on the pros / cons to doin this? i really would like true testament on the topic, not just "he said, she said" but im willing to hear it all........... pics would be super-fantastic as well, if applicable.... thanks for the input in advance

the worst thing that i know about an underslung frame is the lift. you will on get as high as your axle. that sucks. other words i think they look killer. thought bout doin one myself awhile back.

the hardest parts of an underslung frame are lift is limited by the size of your wheels (bigger wheels you run, the more lift you can get), and it seems to be harder to setup a 4 link correctly. ive seen a few underslung frames with the 4 link setup properly, but many of them compromise geometry for the frame.

i ilke them have not many cons other then its a lil more challenging then a regular over the axle setup this is my 2runners and is the 4th one ive done

the lift is a key downer to most, i understand that..... i have the kp 6 link and its bitchen as hell, nice lift but ive noticed other than lifting to detail the 18"s, i rarely raise it past the rims lip.
this is driving me to knock it out, please more, please more......

personally. i think they serve no purpose (looks or function).

The function is keeping more room in the cab of the SUV, which most who do this put it under.

before the haters start in on that pic of the blazer chassis, the link setup is muchos muchos beefier since that pic was taken (which was when we were debuting the chassis/engine at showfest 04). Links were re-built and gussets added out the buttocks. okay, now bash away

(p.s. amazing how this same subject (word for word) pops up every few months lol. I keep thinking its somebody bumping the old posts!)

Man, those links need to be rebuilt and you need more gussets..... oh wait NM. Seriously though, I love that blazer!!!!!
