lol anywho. here are some more pics that I usually never post b/c of the people that bash our link setup. But what the hell. This was fresh out of the shop and on our way to Pigeon Forge in april 04. Sure it was weak at the time lol, but it made for cool pics.LIFTED WITH 20"sLIFT WITH 22"sIf that isn't enough lift to make over a speed bump then you better rethink the whole 'underslung' idea lol. But I can't imagine ever needing more.mike

P.S. since I'm feeling NOSTALGIC, I couldn't help but noticing that pic from SSM of the rear setup. Notice we put Eric's business cards in the 'port holes' of the crossmember. That was literally the first show he and I went to.. Chevy/GMC nat's. Me, him, and the blazer in tow. 2 folding chairs and a chassis lol. Not sure how many of you have seen the Little Shop at a show lately, but it's tents, couches, customer vehicles everywhere, shirts and hats for sale, and swarms of people who wanna chat with 'the man'. Crazy what changes in a few years ;) ahhh... that deserves one more cold one before bed! CHEERS

personally. i think they serve no purpose (looks or function).

The function is keeping more room in the cab of the SUV, which most who do this put it under.

i guess i should have been more specific...

obviously on an suv its ingenious and mostly necessary but the topic is about a s10 and on a truck my first comment still applies.

what exactly makes it 'underslung'?
does it simply have to have frame rails that run underneath the rearend? or does it have to do with how flat the rails are..

my 720 build has no back-half but my rails are flat with no step for the front suspension. would that be considered underslung? check out my build under datsun 720/22. just wondering what breed it is lol

the lift is a key downer to most, i understand that..... i have the kp 6 link and its bitchen as hell, nice lift but ive noticed other than lifting to detail the 18"s, i rarely raise it past the rims lip. this is driving me to knock it out, please more, please more......

well you need to make sure you have enuf lift to take your wheels of if you get a flat or something. or you will have to take the bed off too...

if you door your truck i dont think it will be possible to get enuf lift in the back. my toyota is doored and i need a bunch of lift to un-tuck my wheels

Good excuse for a tilt bed, if you can't untuck your wheels!

the most helpful thing with the lift on a underslung is run a very large wheel tire diameter and u will plenty of lift
