damn, if i was closer I'd get the money together to get and me and my girl would work on it and get it back to looking how it did in the photos, that is one of my favorite trucks of all time. what a shame.

its a long complicated story.....without gettin too personal and deep in the story i will say this, i live right across the street, and pretty much the truck has had nuttin but problems since it was put together, at the last dustoff show the motor backfired and caught on fire burned the firewall and air cleaner on the way to feature it and then he blew a bag at the shoot, he blew 4 or 5 bags in the front from them rubbing the upper arms, so i helped him move the bag and fix the problem in front, he drove it here at home and the drive shaft or u joint broke and its been parked ever since. they said that the passenger window busted out from the heat? its been gettin rained sleet snow hailed in for about 2 years now, he pulled the wheels off and put them on another truck. he gave up and dont care about the truck because he got a cover thats wat he wanted__________________http://www.myspace.com/johnboyon20s

I guess that would explain why i haven't seen it since heatwave 06. Do you know if the motor is still in it or did he take it out? I can understand the frustration he might have had with it but still a shame it's sitting in a junk yard

We all have things happen in our lives that give us a different perspective on it all and what is important in life sometimes. But still, we all sit here looking at this truck that graced the cover of one of our truck mags sitting in a salvage yard abandoned and lifeless to rot away to the standards of every other truck in that yard knowing the blood, sweat, tears and money it took to build it. What a shame!

wow, you think he would of at least salvaged some goodies from it before sending it to the scrap yard.

the guy that owns it, has alot money this isnt the first show truck that has went to waste on him before... and there's several speculations with the truck, everytime i go to johnboys i look at it, and just want to attack it and take all the goods off... but his family or his ex's family own's or has something to do with that salavage yard so that is keeping the truck from going to the crusher i think and several other reason's behind it, i guess we might not ever know the exact reason's why and what without talking to justin..
