hey man, i talked to a guy at a local hot rod show and he told me what he does is take out small loans for what he wants to do next. he would take out a loan for his entire drivetrain, get it all done and not do anything else on the car until the loan was paid off. then he would take out another for say, interior, pay it off, and then move on to whatever else. he said that he could never actually save up the cash for what he wanted to do so this is how he did it. do not use credit cards! they suck! i can't tell you what would work best but the way this guy did it sounded good to me. just make sure you get small interest loans and don't settle for a high interest loan.

sounds like a commercial but sounds like a good idea. im just glad mines getting to a finishing point, but we all know we can never finish a truck, so that scares me, i will be broke when college starts back up lol. gas kills me cause i have to drive so far to school everyday, and i dont go anywhere else during the week really, so i'll have no life again in a month.... but i still work during school, im a contractor and a bodyman, so i make ends meet with bills, upkeep, gas, etc.

sounds like this is the way to do it given you have a good steady job that is not going anywhere and have enough extra where if you become sick, break a bone or something, you can still manage. i called my bank about a 2500 dollar loan and on a 2 year contract its 115 a month with my mom as a cosigner. her credit probably helps a lot, but its me paying it. and that lets me do what i want and pay it off rather easily. when im done with that, on to the next step.

haha, it does kinda sound like a commercial. maybe when i come back from overseas i will get a job in the ad business. hahaha.

the way my dad always built his cars when i was young, was a swap of trades. he built engines for a guy that owned a body shop and in turn he got hooked up with bodywork and paint.
