so close.... jus not good enough

Guys... I can't get my B2600 to start. I jus got done puttin the transmission back in... Its an auto. I'm not gettin anything in the ignition system all the way back to the Ignition Control Module(ICM). Theres 3 wires that plug into the ICM. White, black, and red. The white gets power when i turn the keyt to the on position, the other 2 wires do nothing even when i try to crank the truck.... I've put 2 brand new ICM's on to see if thats the problem. I either don't know enough about mazdas or enough about ignition systems, but i can't think of what the problem is. Please throw up some ideas. The plugs, wires, dis cap, and rotor are all brand new. And i ohm tested the coil and it checked out. I dont know what the problem is.... Thanks for takin the time to read and offer up any help!!! I really appreciate any insite. Truck is a 93 B2600i, 2.6L FI with an auto trans btw.....

make sure the rotor is on the distributor right. you can put them on 3 different ways. the thin part of the triangle goes towards the end of the rotor.

Ya, i got that. Everything is on right jus no fire at all.... anywhere... first sign of power is the white wire on the ICM. A guy on the bscene said to check my trans connections cuz there may be a lockout feature to keep it from startin if its not in park so i'ma check all that tomor after work.... any other ideas???? Thanks man!

i dont think it will even crank if its not in park or neut. will it? do you hear the main relay click when you turn the key to on? too bad i dont live closer, i have rebuilt 2 of those 2.6 mazdas.

Have you looked at the neutral safety switch? The sensor that won't let it crank if not in park or neutral?? Could be a possibility since you had the tranny out.

check the neutral safety switch. Its workin fine. I found out the coil was gettin power so i got a new one.... didnt change anything. I'm completely lost. I have no clue what the problem is

the main relay is right beside the battery. it has four thick wires coming out if the bottom of it. its about 1.25x1.25 with a strange round wiring plug. it should click when the key is turned to the run position.

i don't know bout the comp, and i'm sure the relay works cuz everything else works, i'm gettin gas.

OH, and btw, i hooked up my test light to the positive side of my battery and probed into the red wire for the Ignition Control Module. The lihgt lit up and when i pulled it out, the coil wire sparked! So i stuck it in again and when i pulled it out, it sparked again... Does that help???
