good hauler/ daily?

Hey guys, what has been a good hauler/ daily vehicle for you? I'm talking as far as gas mileage, performance (stock), and problems (if any). I'm going to need to shop for one soon and figured I'd get some input

my silverado is great as far as space, and functionality, however my gas mileage really is bad. At $6.00 a gallon, I easily burn $150 a week, with minimal driving.

If I have to start driving more, I will plan to get a Nissan ex-cab, or Toyota, +98 Mazda etc.....My reg cab sb toyota is excellent when it comes to fuel economy, so an extended cab pickup would be my choice for a reliable daily, with some functionality to it.

I love my 99 'burb. It is dropped 5/7 on 22s and tows like a champ. I get 13 mpg around town, 17-18 on the freeway and 14-15 towing a flatbed with a truck on it.

Im not a chevy/gmc guy by any means, but a few of my friends have them with the 5.3 V8. They tow awesome! Plenty of torque and get great gas mileage for a V8. My boy Ben has an 06 4x4 Silverado and says he gets about 18-19 mpg. We used it to tow my Mazda up to Albuquerque and made it on 3/4 of a tank. I know if used my Dodge it wouldve been double that.

my 06 dodge 3500 with a cummings/6 speed with 3:73 gears pulls like nothing else i get 18-20 daily drive at 100 miles a day up a mountain. it will get 15-17 towing a single trailer and 12-14 towing a 20 ft inclosed and 12 towing my 3 car wedge.

It's nothing special, just a stock 'n' drop. But I swear it looks lower in real life than in pictures.

This is the only one I have right now.

my buddy dad has a 03 dodge quad cab 4x4 diesel its bad ass we alawys haul with it gets 18 mpg doing 75 80 on the way to the shows you never no the trailers on the back
