I know you don't want to hear it nathan, but if your going to do it right. Re-clear the whole thing. You wont have to do the bumpers or side moldings but hood, fenders, doors, quarters and roof will need to be. I know I will get alot of different opinions on this but thats the only way to do it right.

i agree on a full reclear, but for time puposes i did it like this,i have an hour in jambs,2 hours in the interior and it took me only 4 hours to sand ,tape an spray the exterior. and when you have limited time to do side work at work thats what i did. also my daily driver so it is what it is.

I know the correct way would be to clear the entire thing, but this is going to be a one saturday job, in my garage. This is also the first time that I am going to attempt to paint a car. Thanks for the pics Jared. I like what you did with the pillars on the inside. Does the inside of the back hatch being silver drive you nuts?

no problem nathan. yeah this was like i said a fast job not only was i on a time crunch doing it at work i was trying to get it done before reso last year,i didnt have time to jamb the hatch or under the hood i just got the doors done ,so it bothered me a little i guess out of site out of mind for the most part.but like i said it should soon be completly diffrent soon i will keep you posted.

you can feel the line because there are now a few more coats over the stock but its no big deal with a painted stripe or even sticker stripe.the s-10 didnt get any thing but the xb will soon have a painted stripe.

my maxima is 2 toned and has graphics on the hood and trunk. all of it was done under clear. you can still feel it because i put 3 coats of clear on. i never got around to polishing it because it came out great out of the booth. every a$$ in the world has to touch the graphics as if they just magically appeared on the panel.yes it has lines.i could sand and buff it or sand and reclear it but the ammount of labor and additional materials i would use makes it not worth it for me.(i sprayed my car with glasurit, the clear was 350 for the setup and it would take me 2 days to sand the whole thing down and clear it)

yes but the difference is a hard line like mine feels like the sharp edge of a razor blade. thats why i recomend a pinstripe,or with more time clear the whole panel and buff.the xb was sprayed with all R-M diamont materials and at 500 dollars for a gallon of clear and hardner, and time i chose the hard line.
