I've always wanted to try to get an IFS kit going for the I-beam rangers like Porterbuilt did for the C10s. Just never had a Ranger to play with.

I thought about that to Seth. Cut all the old stuff off and just weld on some brackets, then bolt on the provided control arms, spindles, and weld on bag brackets. Its a cool idea maybe even use stuff off the newer control arm rangers if its any good or start with a completely different spindle. To bad minitruckers are broke and probably won't spring for it. I'm sure others have thought of it but bailed on the idea because, lets face it, minitruckers are BROKE!

That's one reason why I haven't done it on my own wallet, because I feared no one would buy it. I figured it could be done with Toyota spindles, and probably could have an option to use stock Toyota arms for those on a budget, so they could go pick them up at a junk yard.

sounds like a good idea, as 83-97 ibeam xmembers are the same.

Ya it would be an awesome product but it would cost $1000 or more easily. You figure spindles, control arms, and all the laser cut brackets you'd need. But I'm sure you could offer levels similar to what Seth was saying.

I have bagged a 97 ranger on dream beams, and got a 93 ranger to lay on dros with dream beams. both of them have 20's. It is NOT EASY. If you have chassis tech beams forget laying 20's. I know a FEW guys have done it but they had to notch and cut and remove half of the beam and half or more of the engine crossmember. Dream beams are the way to go if you are going to buy some. You gotta notch the frame rails for the tierods. You also need the radius arm relocaters and a tranny crossmember to lay, let alone remove/modify EVERY crossmember to lay a 20 inch wheel with a 245/35/20 tire. The gas tank will also keep you from really laying out too. Rangers are tough. But they are soo nice layed out. Its a shame when the ranger guys dont get thier trucks to lay.

^ Ive known guys to run dream beams for years only to have them start to sag or bow? The cross member idea is certainly a good one but like uve mentioned the market of us broke folk may not support it but then again these trucks are getting older and u can pick one up cheap so maybe the extra change saved could be used towards an updated suspension? That seems to be the way of the older trucks that werent worth much but now they are and front clips are bought all the time for them not sure if ur fords will be worth anything down the road though j/k
