Wow, I knew there were some people that weren't getting what they paid for but I didn't realize how many and how long they were waiting. There are quite a few people on several boards that haven't gotten parts. It sucks for the people getting screwed and other small shops, like myself, because it creates trust issues between possible customers and the shop. It does hurt the hobby in a way because you can only get screwed so many times before you don't want anything to do with it. I also think that its pretty arrogant (sp?) that you can set any time frame you want to finish parts and the customer needs to deal with it. If you tell them it will be done in 4 weeks then it better be done in 4 weeks or have a damn good reason why its not. I also think its pretty arrogant of any company to think that they can treat people this way and stay in business. Sure you might keep making parts now but word of mouth is faster than wild fire and eventually it'll catch up with you.

I had originally taken my upper arms to BLF over 2 years ago.. during that time I had to pick them up twice..once to move the car to my new house and once to just measure a few things.  After having them for a few months  I took them back and struck up a deal with the owner to make them and I would do some fiberglass work on his project.. long story short I went over to the shop and did what I needed in the timeframe he needed to make it to a show.  I patiently waited for the arms never getting them or even a clue on when it would be.  Luckily when Taylor left he grabbed my arms because he knew that they werent going to be made.  Taylor ended up getting the arms to me already built with his own time and money because he felt bad about the situation.... now thats customer service and a true friend........ and still to this day I havent even heard anything about my arms from BLF... I doubt he even knows that they are gone.  its too bad because Richie really is a cool guy to talk to, does excellent work and is very maticulous but the customer service, lying about shipping and holier than thou attitude really is a downfall.    Im not going to bash completely.. I have had other dealings with BLF on 2 sets of rims and both were smooth transactions. he also made me a pretty cool set of hydro cylinders but the upper control arm experience will be my last.

With regards to shipping, I can speak on experience from working at SD that UPS does not "lose" things very often. I worked there for 2 years, shippings thousands of packages (300 a day!) and UPS very rarely ever straight up lost something. Now they do direct the package to the wrong hub on occasion, making things take longer to get there then they should, that wasnt uncommon to see in the tracking numbers. But the main reason people never got things was either UPS damaged the box, the parts fell out, and they retaped it (they are some sneaky dicks) or the parts were stolen from the residence. Either way, we just file a claim with UPS, they pay us for the parts, and we reship them, simple as that, altho the claim does take 8 days. Either way, no one went without parts.

It is truely amazing to see how many people have gotten taken by this company. I had no idea that it was going to be this many. I thought it was just us but I guess not. Well the owner of the truck that im bd'ing talked to Richie last week and he said for my buddy to take pics of what he did recieve and he would take care of the parts he did not get and make him a new set of lowers. But hell it might be another 4 to 5 months before we get the lowers. Guess we will just have to wait and see. I also would like to thank the people that have come up here and spoke thier mind about issues they are having.   Chris Backyard Kustoms <ST> in NC

LOL. Well as far as the arms go I think Jeff has spoken with Richie once and he suppose to send the stuff he did not get to complete the upper arms. And as far as the lowers go he "SAYS" he is going to make some new ones but we will see. I sure hope it does not take another 5 months to get some arms!!! Im ready to get this truck out of my shop!!!!   Taylor ---------------------------------------------

I dont know what Mike from byc did before, but a few months ago i sent him my stock control arms and spindle off my isuzu for him to make a jig and he sent me a set of really nice tube arms for my zu in return. Every time i email him he gets right back to me to let me know whats going on. If he ever dicked people over before with BYC hes  not doing it this time around with dallashotrodparts.com
