Mine is fuel-injected so when i had the same problem recently I replaced the entire fuel system and ignition system only to learn it was my computer(good luck finding one if you end up needing it) $300 with my core @ AutoZone after 2wks of looking! This shouldn't be your issue but also, in the troubleshooting section of the haynes repair manual it listed water in fuel, timing belt worn or damaged, fuel pump relay and camshaft sensor, as well as throttle and oxygen sensors as points-of-interest for the issue you described. Hope this helps, and when you get it figured out, let us know because you've gotten us curious! GOOD LUCK"Draggin Soon To A Spot Near You!"
