just wanted to warn anyone and everyone from buying a HORRIBLE product out there....i would usually NEVER go this far to trash anyone or anything, but something HAS to be done here, since i called djm on the 1st experience, and now the 2nd experience, and all they want to do is tell me that their products are gods greatest gift and they have professional engineers desigining their shit, not offer me any kind of refund or compensation, i will post this... i wish i knew how to file a lawsuit on a company, however im assuming here since they are aftermarket parts there is no kind of warrranty... heres the lowdown, april 2008,i was out of town for a show, pulled my toyota there with my dually, by the way the truck is a 2001 chevy 2wd 3500hd with the 8.1, it has the djm 6,8 drop kit in it, their biggest and most expensive for this truck, anyways, i was 200 miles out of town and after unloading the truck at the show and dropping the trailer off, headed to the hotel, i was backing into a parking spot going MAYBE 1-2 mph, and SNAP, truck hits the ground, wont move... i get out to find this....

after realizing  i must of snapped a balljoint, and it was after 6 at night, everyoen was hungry, i decided to say screw it and drink my frustration away that night... needless to say the next morning, i awoke to this storm....

well lucky me!  i didnt have a shovel to move snow in the -0 degree weather,or work clothes or half the tools i needed to fix a balljoint, yet alone a jack big enuf to hold up a 1 ton dually.. so off to the parts store i go,bought the biggest jack i could find, went back, took the upper balljoint out, brought it back to tha store, parts guy grabbed a 1 ton dually balljoint for my truck, and it was completely different...my buddy who owns a 93 fullsize chevy thats bagged, says hey that looks familiar, he said grab an upper for a 93 fs chevy.. needless to say, it is the exact same part as what is on my dually... so here DJM is using a 1/2 ton balljoint on a 1 ton truck, which i think u and everyone else would agree is pretty retarded, djm swears it should work fine, i buy the best balljoint u can buy (moogs) for like 60 bux ,put it in, brings us to today, almost a year later... the truck has had thousands of miles put on it since then, no problems, til this morning i awoke to a surprising 4" of snow overnight, went out to move my dually to the street, pulled up to the curb going once again no more than 1 to 2mph, and SNAP, i knew instantly what had happened... get out to see this....

long story short, i run to my shop to get all the shit i need to fix it with a diff. vehicle, since i learned the hard way the 1st time.. i ALWAYS carry an extra new balljoint in my toolbox, so this time no stupid parts store was needed, fix it in the god damn snow, and here is what these djm balljoints are doing....

now that u know of what kind of products they are producing and like i said i wouldnt trash them if they had offered me words of any kind of encouragment, but since they basically told me to screw off, i hope u all learn a lesson here and dont buy their junk products, think of what would happen if i was pulling my toyota doing 70mph and this shit happened??? probably death, or total destruction of both vehicles ,or all of thee above.... pretty fkn scary if u ask me, has this happened to ANYONE? or anyone heard of this problem? does anybody know of a remedy or a different product or brand or anything to stop this problem? i am heading 25 hours straight south for texmex pulling my toyota in exactly one week, and quite honestly, i dont even realy wanna attempt to make the trip with it anymore... thanx for your time!

Fuck that I definitely wouldn't drive it or tow anything especially since it has happened twice. You are right about being lucky enough for it to happen where it did instead of on the highway.

Hey, if they're not willing to face the music, and you've presented your side and these pics, fuck em.  They got off easy this time.  Maybe you needed to BE going 70 and wipe out a family and like 4 cars before they will notice.  It's shitty when companies won't own up when their wrong.

If those are DJM's own balljoints, thats why they broke. They make terrible balljoints, and it's semi common knowledge. At least out here. Even the tire shops that sell their drop kits recommend buying a complete set of new balljoints when installing them.

You know what i think is funny? someone will come on here and say dont bash them. They didnt do anything. Just like they do when shops eh people over. But, anyways, I can say that i was riding in a truck with there controll arms on them and one just snapped. It was a bagged and b/d ford F-150. We were justdriving down the ride and out of nowhere the trucks falls to the ground and drags. We stop the truck to, get out to look at what happened and to the the lower controll arm is snapped in half. So we're in the middle of traffice with a truck on the ground and no where to go. We finlaly got a tow truck to come pick it up.

If they dont respond, report it to the BBB and file a claim, enough claims from them and shit hits the fan.

Thats shitty Kyle, but FYI BBB cant do shit to a company but call and send letters.  They hold no legal recourse, and almost nobody checks with the BBB before spending money with a company.  Its a listing for reference at best.  At times they can try to get the state involved and such, but legally on its own the BBB is a joke.
