"teh" updates are slow are because, even in this economy, people still do shitty business. A little venting session... before I even tore into this thing I was ordering parts. I ordered spindles off ebay from a well know company. 2 weeks after ordering them I called and asked where they were, well he told me they were on backorder for another 3 weeks. So I had to cancel the order and order them from somewhere else, and I just got them this morning (durning week 3 of the build, from the second company). I ordered some wheel tubs from another well known company only to be told that they would not be able ship them out for 2 weeks because they didnt have them made. Then this rear end non-sense. I dropped off the rear end at a local shop. I told them I needed it back ASAP. They told me possibly Friday, but most likely Monday. Well Monday came and went. I called and they said that they still haven't recieved the axles. Finally, Tuesday morning they got tracking info on them and said it would be ready today (Wednesday). So I called today, they said they had just recieved the axles and would be putting everything back together and have it ready by 2. I go down there at 2 only to hear more bad news. The idiots ordered 6 lug, and this is a 5 lug. Not to mention I asked them not to paint the axle, and it is shiny black. I haven't cleaned the stock mounts off yet, and I need to weld 4 link pivots on it, so now I would have more to clean off. The other f-ed up thing is, ( I am assuming here) there were 2 sets of axles in the box that was shipped, so I assume that they waited to ship my axles until they had the other ones completed. That is why the axles showed up on Wednesday and not Friday (the week before). Needless to say I am little pissed off about this crap. This is one example of why Hydroholics was started. We were tired of ordering parts from other hydraulic companies only to have stuff on backorder, or have the wrong parts shipped, or have screw ups in shipping, ect. ect. I hate relying on other people for stuff. It is a shame that I have to be surprised when something actually shows up correctly and on time. The only company name I will mention (other than Hydroholics) is Stylin Trucks. These guys are the only ones that have done a good job. I will not mention publicly the companies that screwed me, so don't ask. Sorry for the venting.

They are kinda hard to take a good picture of, but these are the upper link mounts. They are on the outside of the frame, there is a gusset that connects to the top of the frame and the side plates are 1/4".

I feel your pain on doing a SUV. I did my two door by my self. Taking body off and putting it back on.

bridge notch large enough to fit a tire with a 31" diameter.

I have a question...the way the cylinder is solidly mounted in the top...as the arm goes through it's travel wont there be alot of pressure on the seals due to the cylinder not sycling in a strait line.  By my rough calculationals playing wit a tape measure on my desk...if your getting 14 inches of travel...with a 18 LCA (guess)...with the cylinder mounted 10 inches from the pivot point...That means that the sylinder is being pushed or pulled almost an inch off center at full lift and drop. On a 8 inch cylinder that seems like alot of pressure on the seals. Seems like there should be a pivot at the top and bottom...I'm not double guessing you at all...I'm just starting to get interested in Hydraulics...so I'm trying to understand it all. Is the there a particular reason you mount them like that or a particular reason why you don't use a pivot at the top and bottom. Thanks man.
