Dont give up on this truck!

as it says he doesnt want to give up on it, but economically, you have to look at it this way, put 10 more grand into a truck that will ony get into a few shows due to a dieing market of mini truck shows, and once he gets tired of said truck, he has 15 grand into a truck that will only get him 5 grand if he sold it.  On the other hand you have a 51 nash wagon? can get into any shows, really how many do you see of those? he could put 15 grand into it and if built the right way, and if he needs to sell it he can get what he put into plus some, and im sure he would let you all buy the pieces of the truck that are left.  Its always easier to say that when your not the one facing the decision.  Good Luck with whatever you decide to do Jamie

Just wondering..the pics say the frame is stainless but it looks to have a lot of surface rust?? Either way I say keep the truck, even if  you need to sell the cash for parts now. Sell whats of value and keep the body/stock frame for a later date. Old trucks are getting harder and harder to find.

Also it looks like it was welded with steel wire, which will make any area directly touched by the weld rust faster than normal. Also if it was welded too hot, the overheated area will rest. And if stainless is hit with a hammer, or some other form of decent shock strong enough to misalign some molecules it will begin to rust there. It can also start to rust if you use a flap disc on it that has been used on steel, as it will transfer. Stainless is picky.

it is stainless, and even though I stated it wasnt earlier, after me and some friends started looking at it once we picked it up to bring it home I do believe it is exhaust tubing! So even with the gussets theres no way I would trust it enough to mate it to a front clip and drive with it under my truck. It has been welded on with steel wire as Seth said. But as for the clip being the reason I am stopping on it? Theres alot more to it than just that. Just having to dstart over again when I was hoping to be dragging rockers right now has set me back. The whole ordeal over the past 2 and a half years with this guy has set me back. It just took alot of the fun out of it for me, and with the wagon I can haul my wife and daughter with me also. So there are alot of reasons I have came to this conclusion. But if the truck doesnt sell, I will prolly keep the cab and bed for a later date if I ever want to redo it.

Your courier is the first one that I had ever seen bagged. Your truck gave me insperation to bag mine. After a year and a half and tons of modavation to keep going(by myself)i'm still truckin and should have mine finished in no time. This is a truck that will always grab attention no matter where you are at. Keep the sparks flying no matter if its welding or draggggggin.I have have a short box frame if you need one

Get some pics up man I would like to see them. James.... give it to you?...No. But I will make you a good deal on the cab, doghouse, and bed and I will deliver it to you at the RA show! You cant pass up another truck to work on. LOL
