What do you consider a drain? What kind of time does it take to kill the battery? You first need to reconnect everything you disconnected and use a volt meter at the battery to determine how much of a draw there is. Now you can start disconnecting any aftermarket equipment and keep checking the draw at the battery. After that you can start disconnecting computers and the sort till you find what it is. Are you sure the battery is good? A marginal battery will appear to be good if driven everyday, but if it sits a couple days with a small draw it will go dead.

it's cuz it's a geo. now let's talk about my rendering. hahaha

There was a recall on Geo Prizms related to battery issue. You can call Chevy's customer service line, give them your VIN and they'll let you know if your car is one of thousands needing something replaced. No matter how old the recall, Chevrolet will fix it at no cost. Yay for recalls!

We recently had a draining issue on a friends suburban.  He had an optima battery that was less than a year old so we didn't initially think it would be it.  We ended up taking the battery to an autozone for them to test.  If you can, charge the battery to above 12V or else they will trickle charge it and you'll have to come back in an hour.  They would put a load on the battery and will be able to tell you right away if it is the culprit.  If the car is good for a couple of days and then it randomly won't start this could very well be your issue as well.

autozone used to do a paracidic drain test when i worked there. not sure if they still do or not. but it was a feature on the rolling battery machine that they have up there.       one stupid thing ive seen in the past. is the the door ajar switch is bad so the interior lights stay on. but once it was a guys glove box light switch that was bad and the light stayed on. but u never knew cuz the box was closed. granted i dont think this is your problem. but autozone might still be able to do the test. only problem is most the kids there are dumb and dont know how to test shit. lol

one of ur best friends in this issue is gonna be tracing that schematic and seeing exactly what those wires connect to. its probly just something stupid that is gettin overlooked.

I had a drain on my dually once. I kept killing batteries & alternators. like crazy couldn't figure it out.. Finally we checked the cables (connecting the 2 batteries on the dually) & BINGO !!!!!!  The problem was the cables were coroded in the middle of the cable even though both end were perfectly clean. So after 6 batteries & 4 alternators it ended up costing me $160 worth of new cables..... I'm just throwin at my battery drain story out there....

i dont fully understand how you traced it down to these two wires. but if your certain its one of these and its the switch then just go get a new switch and try it out. most of the time parts stores will not allow you to return electronic parts though. have you put a multi meter to any of these wires yet? like was stated it could be something as dumb as a glove box light. how fast will it kill the battery?
