alright fellas heres the dealie-yo get your motor mounts and get your engine and trans in there, take your factory radiator to the local rad shop and have them convert it to a 4 core or if the price is too much get a small aluminum radiator make sure its 4 core, throw on a nice elec fan set up to save room, as far as the fuel delivery, keep eveything on the stock tank in tact and add in a universal inline fuel pump pn# for an inexpensive airtex one is e8016, put that in line and you may have to regulate it down depending on your carb set up... oh and please dont just throw a used as junkyard 305 or 350 in the trucks, get a nice rebuilt one... i know 350s last forever but if you dont atleast replace all gaskets and seals while your at it your beating a dead horse   and no i dont like to tye in paragraph or sentence form, thats too much work on this raggedy ass laptop

after reading on a few of the 4x4 websites they mostly use the 4.3 what ever this is ...i dont know is it a v6 or what ...they say its the best fit..i can barley afoord the swap so a junk yard motor will work for now cause once its in there it is nothing to pull it since it will be carb and the crab load or wires will be gone ...how mcuh taller is the 350 then the 22re with the stock oil pan and do they make low profile pans for the small blocks or will i have to section this pan also ...i want a stock hood and know it can be done

and who else makes motor mounts a want a weld in type and what about a solid mount type would the trans have to be solid mounted to
tuckinlugs06   +1y

cause i know they say you cant mis up bushing types so im guessing they both have to mounted the same either solid or with the stock mounts

i got a 350 in my yota. ive got an aluminum raidator and plan on using electric fan. im runing a short water pump, and modified a alternator braket to fit under my valve cover so it wouldnt stick out. the only thing that should stick out ofmy hood looks like the carb. kyle from guilty by design set my mounts up for the motor and my trany crosmember was modified as well and raised. i had the drive shaft yoke off a chevy adapted to fit my toyota rear end. the motor mounts that were used are the weld in kind from speedway motors. this is as far as i am im waiting for paint before i make it run.
