the beige 3m stuff i was referring to: yes it is sandable but i forgot to mention that its supposed to be applied over sanded primer. at least thats what we alwatys did in the body shop. welding on a bed side... clean up the welds if needed, wipe the area with de-greaser, painter sprayed primer, after it was dry we would sand or coarse scotch brite the seam then de grease again, then apply seam sealer and smooth, you can sand it after its cured but we always preferred smoothing it while its still wet that way after it dries they just prep it right along with the rest of the panel, wet sanding or scothch brite again cocntinue on the paint prep process...
