And after reading around I heard a lot of people say that there not the best brush's out there.Iit's just all i know lol I even remember one post on here where somebody said the green wrap 00 were technically just a touch up brush lmao that's what I do ALL of my striping with! I just want to make sure that I get a good brush so I dont have to force it to do what I want ya know?

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by lost causeThanks guys!!! I'm lost between the wizard & the Kafka brush's I like the fact that mack makes the wizard brush's.....but I have seen kafka stripe on you tube and he's amazing so i'm sure his brush's must be great too???the kafka brush's are like twice the money though.... FATSTRIPES do you have favorite scroll brush or any advice on one? it seems like it would be expensive to just start buying brush's when I'm not like a full time striper you know?---------------------------------------------as much as i would like to help here, i've never tried any scroll work or brushes, however there's a lady not far from me that does nothing but scroll work and she uses the kafka brushes.     http://cnrbugs.blogspot.com/    here's a link to some of her work and an email address. she should deffinately be able to help you

I don't mind getting signature series from time to time, i'm still waiting to get my Tidwell sig series. Even though they cost a lil more, i REALLY don't think that i'm going to pull two lines and say "damn, this brush makes me a way better painter..."  Just get what you need to get the job done, the name stamped on the side ain't goin to help you practice...

I personally like the kafka brushes. They seem to be fairly versaile and easy to control both in straight line and in curves. I have teh whole set but would recommend the number 3 to start off with it is a good all purpose brush.

not exactly pinstrping but and easy way to outline some graphics if you suck at striping like me tape off nicely spray your outline color first then use the fineline nicely again

Well this started as a discussion on scroll striping done by hand but I actually think taped "striping" looks better than hand brushed outlines. First and foremost, the line is a consistant width, you can actually fade colors within the stripe (can't do that with handbrushed stripes), and you can use any color that can be mixed by your jobber--yes you can custom mix your own striping colors but some people can't mix colors very well themselves. And some people have no choice but to tape their stripes. What I hate about taped striping is the TIME it friggin' takes and that extra stage of taping. Plus, if you don't back tape over your fineline, you risk some bleed or blow through between the stripe and backgropund color. Also, expressive line work like scroll can't be done with tape (at least not well). Each has its place in the custom world but it's up to the artist/painter to decide which is right for the job.

i think its a badass style!! however i think i only looks right on that certain ride. im thinkin i would look sick on like old school low riders, im talkin like 64' impala in wires dippin down the boulevard. a gangster style for sure. idk if any of you have ever seen a impala called santana that was build over in california and owned by a guy named gangster in the compton area but this is what this style reminds me of. i think that car is over in japan now.  great job lost cause looks badass.
