I've seen a few mazdas and hardbodys with really low static drops and was wondering if anyone knows exactly how they get them soo low? heres a picture for reference

that one looks like he took the t bars out  and has either 3" blocks and took a leaf out or 4" blocks and took a leaf out. But he could have just got spindles and turned the t bars down as well

so you can get that low with just spindles and cranking the torsion bars down? belltech sells a 5/5 kit but doesn't list what is included and I'm not sure if that front end is lower then 5" or not

Looks like a 4" block and one leaf removed with turned torsions. My guess. Although it may have lowered spindles too.

I remember Mazda's hammered back in the day before airbags were the norm, of course 16's were huge back then, LOL, And I agree with Jimmy probaly spindles and adjusted the t-bars, blocks in the back and it looks like he chucked a leaf.

Sean is right the torsions on a Mazda turned alot.

why spend money when if all your doing is static dropping????? All you need to do is get under the truck and start turn your t bars down. But make sure you get an alighnment afterwards. And you can get blocks fram any auto parts store and then just pull your middle leaf spring. Another word of great advise is to run 1975 ford pinto shocks. They have built in bumpstops so you should be able to cut yours out in the front. In the back either cut yours down or take them off and get low profile ones.

I'm new to this whole torsion bar thing so bare with me.. turning the torsion bars all the way down will get the front down about how much? and say if you added 2" drop spindles, wouldn't the ride quality be better say with a total of 5" lower versus lowering the front 5" with just the torsion bars?

Ohhhhhh yeah dude defiantly if you have the money make sure you get spindles. Because you will one day want bags and they are needed to bag it. But make sure you do it all at  once get the spindles and then turn the torsions down the same day. Then after your done doing the work go strait to an alighnment shop. And for spindles go with Belltechs and i know im going to catch shit for this but never ever by from Aim
