I hgave gotten the unsafe shit out here in socal as well, used to right about an inch off the ground, never adjusted while driving or anything like that. Always went to fight them and the cops never showed up in court, I was pulled over at night for window tint and they always told me to drive with the windows down so i would blast the music when they told me to do that...never got chewed out about that but after a while i got tired of always getting the bullshit looks from the cops and also getting pulled over...3-4 times a week. I used to raise it slowly when i got pulled over...but then got caught so i said i would sell it and wait a while to build another one.

i live in socal as well and have been let of good a few times, there was one time where a cop in my town pulled me over and he had a rookie in training with him and told me to open the tonneau cover and told the rookie "you see this, its not allowed, write a ticket if you ever see this" and I explained to him how everything worked and he let me go, didnt tell me not to drive it anymore or anything, and hes seen me a few times since then. and there was one time when i was at a stop light in another city and i was just twirling the switches up, no joke, ridiculous with it and i look to my right and there a cop 2 lanes over with another cop in the passenger seat just watching me laughing,I was like 0_0

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by laydhombrei got pulled over by a cop for dragging, and his exact words were " sir, your truck was dragging the ground and throwing sparks, would you mind raising the truck back up? Have a nice night and be careful"  The only thing i've ever been hasseled for was my tail lights being too low to the ground by a lady state trooper that listens to malcom x in her patrol car.....---------------------------------------------^^^^^LOVE IT^^^^^^

I was rolling through my town one night and got pulled over. when he came up he told me that my bumper was too low, i told him it shouldn't be and asked him if i could get out and look. he said that was fine so as i got out i tapped the upps when we got to the back he looked again and smiled, he told me to get my a$$ home its past your curfew ( i was 16 at the time and in MO you cant be out past a certian time.)

In CA..you can be as LOW as you want as long as no part of the vehicle hangs below the bottom most part of the RIM....You can NOT get a ticket for a hole cut out in your bed as it is completely legal to drive with NO bed as long as you have fenders and mud flaps. Tail lights must be DOT approved meaning they must have Reflectors..this was a big deal when people were running clears with red bulbs. It wouldnt fly because there was no reflectors on the lens themselves.

I got a ticket once for dragging.  So I deserved it. If you  want attention, you will get it.  Other than that, I've been bagged for over 9 years and haven't been hassled only for that one time. Have a nice day.
