So I got back yesterday morning. Thanks for all the help guys. Ended up just renting a F-250 Super Duty and a 20' trailer. Drove down there thursday night. Got there around 4am Fri. morning. Attempted to get a couple hours of sleep. They replaced transmissions in about 4 hours and I was back on the road to NC. Of course things were working out to smoothly so something had to go wrong right? Tire blew on trailer and fucked up the fender. Was making it rub the front tire. So had to beat it back into place. Then this guy pulled over to help, but didn't really help because he was to drunk to really do anything, and then got mad and wanted to fight cause I didn't have any money to give him for "helping". It was a interesting trip needless to say. Glad to be back home though with a truck that can finally go over 35 mph. Here is a couple pictures I took.   Florida Bound!  Gator in the back on a truck in GA at 2AM.   Trailer fender damage.

I was reading an old thread yesterday about someone wanting to start a minitruck registry or something for just this reason. Im not sure its ever been acted upon but its kinda odd that i read that yesterday and now i found out today that a minitrucker broke down in my area (amelia island)... Now im thinking im in Iraq right now but i have three older brothers who live in amelia island (pretty much right next to hilliard) who have access to a trailer and know the good local shops around town with the hookup and wouldnt hesitate for a second to do what they can to help someone out... now if someone had created this how great would it have been to just activate the minitruck registry roadside assistance app and have your gps enabled phone instantly track your position and send out text messages to local participants automatically to call you back and see what they can help you with... if not gps enabled just type in the zip code and let it do the rest lol some tech savvy software slash web engineer needs to jump on this lol maybe we can get businesses worldwide to sign up too ... sorry if this topic has been beat up in the past im new to these forums ...

This is a great idea. Would have been great for me to have had something back in March to help when this problem first occured. Oh well what can ya do now. I had to spend $800 to trailer my truck back down to florida this week to get yet again another transmission put back in my truck. Hopefully crooked shops like this get what they deserve eventually.

Yea no doubt. I had to rent a super duty and a 20 foot trailer to tow it down with. I'll send you an IM of the shops name so you can ask you uncle if he would have recommended these people.
