now that i have youre attention .it really hasent been stolen but it was used in a print add for a wheel company that he isnt sponserd by and dosent represent.its in the december issue of street trucks on page 145 his truck there wheels .just curious on what the legalities are hopefully his new wheel company dosent stop sponsering him because of this.  maybe some one can post a picture of the add.  thanks

to my understanding, if the picture was taken off of the internet, then its legal, there was a local tint and wheel shop here that was advertising pictures of Catch 22 in an ad, and also socalstreettrends had pictures of a suicide doored impala that we built advertised in his catalog, being that the picture was off of the internet i dont think that anything could be done, its all in the disclaimers on websites... Im no lawyer, just my understanding, what wheels are on the truck now, and what wheels are being advertised for future reference?

sorry i should have been more clear the picture that was used was from a photgraphers site not to be used by anyone else .wheels on the truck are coddingtons the wheel ad is for ultra wheels

Who cares.  Be flattered that you truck is in an ad.  Well I mean the person you are speaking for..

if that is the case, then the photographer himself has legal options, if ultra stands to make any money off of the ad then the photog is entitled to compensation, just saw this type of case on judge judy the other day, chris may have legal options as well, he may want to seek some advise if inexpensive, and a cease and dissist letter can be sent to ultra on the behalf of chris and the photog which i assume is john oneil

obviously u dont have a clue to what you are speaking of.its not who cares if he was sponserd by them than it would be who cares hes not so hes not representing them .

His beef is, when you have sponsors on high end wheels such as wheel pros(coddington) that you have to obligate and you have their wheels on your vehicle, meanwhile, another company is using a picture of said vehicle with different wheels in their ad, then wheel company may get mad, and take you to court to get paid for the wheels they gave to you, so if thats the case then you have to be concerned the only way he doesnt have a case is if he was sponsored by ultra before, then in that case then chris doesnt have any legal options, but the photog still does.

If you look at some of the AVS boxes you will see the rendering of my truck on all there boxes pretty much! They even went as far as changing the color of my truck... Im not sponsored by them at all. I think its kinda cool to see my truck on there boxes but it also woulda been cool if they threw something my way too!
