Bassicly with the steering, you just unscrew your stock tie rod end, and thread this one. When you narrow the front ends, you run out of adjustability really quick, so this helps alot. It also allows you to flip your steering down to the bottom side of the spindle, to help with bumpsteer issues. Bassicly, that tapered piece just taps into your spindle sleve on your spindle, then you grind it flush a bit, and now you have a straight sleved hole for your spindle and you can run heim joint ends. I personally also just like the look it gives to the front end. BTW, who are you talking to at moser? I called over the summer and spoke to someone about narrowing my axles, and they said that they have never done them for a dodge ram and would have to "see how it went" lol. I found a local shop that will let me use their spline milling machine, so i will probably do my own. Taylor

IDK who you talked to at Moser...but Moser made my axles over 2 years ago...theyve prolly made every narrowed Dodge axles out there. So someone over there is either new or lost.

thats the same thing i thought, i knew you guys all had your axles shortened and resplined thare. The person i talked to acted like it would be a exparament or something... idk. Taylor

I figured they would have it down by now as well ... Im talking to Matt McCombs and I beleive it was Matt who I talked to a couple months ago or less... Gotta sift through the older emails but when I first inquired about it they seemed clueless and figured that they could just be resplined.... then i beleive it was a pic u had Big that i showed them it was of the old axles next to the new moser axles... and i had to point out where the taper was and thats why a new axle needed to be made... probably email him back and see if they want to keep the old axles as a reminder for anyone in the future who wants the rear narrowed... im sure they would work for all the 3rd gens right? maybe someone else can provide some insight on that ...

I was told they couldn't be re-splined, you just had to order new ones. hmmmmm... 3 different stories from 1 place.

the guy who is doing mine is charging me $550 parts included, i thought that was a hell of a deal. how much should i narrow it? Taylor said I should narrow it around 2" on each side but he wasn't for sure. the wheel is a +25 offset, anybody else have an Idea????

The 02-08 axles can not be resplined...unless you narrow it like 12 inches because the axle gets bigger where the splines are...after the splines the axle tapers down...so they can not be resplined. Moser has to make a new set of axles...
