Why are people so concerned with how much money and time there is into the truck? The ranger is looking cool, can't wait to see it at BTN.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by tacomaon24syeah actually with powder coating the entire frame dash and truck body inside and out , the wheels and tires, hydraulics and everything else are pretty much all donated or hand me downs or left overs. --------------------------------------------- I'm curious if you'll lose a few inches of lift as those soft looking springs compress before the lift will occur?  I guess stiffer shocks will help with that?  I hope you bring this to BTN so we can check it out in person.  One of my favorite builds - ever.

If the dogbones on the rear lca's ends up too close to the ground, you could do torsion bars on the rear. With the IRS, there should be room to mount cylinders perpendicular to the frame under the drive shaft and use a bell crank to turn the torsion bars. Just a thought. This truck is inspiring to watch. Many builds on here are a lot of the same things and ideas over and over. I like the out of the box thinking and the engineering involved in your trucks. Most people just want to be low. You seem to have figured out how to get your rides back up to a more functional height. Nicely done so far, and please keep the updates coming.

Heres the hillbilly paint version of what I was trying to say. And I am not saying what you have wont work, I just think it may look odd seeing it in the wheel well and having it so close to the ground.

yeah its funny you say the torsion idea thats what i was originally going to do. but went with this idea because the bottom of the drive shaft is flush with the top of the frame rail so not alot of room. and yeah i lose some lift with the soft springs but the cv axles will lock out before the cylinder does even with these springs basically it pressures up then compresses spring and then starts to lift and as it lifts the pivot arm actually gets farther away from the wheel and tire and always stays 3 inches below the control arm so as the control arm lifts so does the pivot arm end where the dog bone is.   maybe one day soon i can get some HYDROHOLICS cylinders soon. NEED SOME 10S FOR THE REAR. will post some more pics today of it lifted and with the cylinder mount in place.  thanks alot guys for the kind words i appreciate it alot.
