I still have a set of BYC toyota control arms that are weak a shit.  Mike told me a year ago that he would send me a new set of cross shafts for them for free since the ones he sent with them first were butt welded together.  I just modifed the arms to use the factory yota cross shafts.  I would never do business with him ever again.  I dont give a shit what he is called now.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by jester metal werxbuddy bought some zu control arms i had installed them they look great hadnt heard any thing negative about dhp---------------------------------------------   I was the guinea pig for the new dhp zu control arms. Met mike over on isuzuscene.com, sent him my upper, lower arms and spindle. He built a set and sent em back to me i tried them on, we worked through an upper balljoint angle issue and now the arms look and work great. I designed the lower control arm triangulated pivot bar brace and sent him one to copy for extra support. I got a badass set of arms for free, mike did a great job and it seems like he really makes some good shit. Hes also the only guy ive ever seen making drop spindles for 98 and up rangers. My zu is still far from being done, but the a arms and front suspension were really easy for me thanks to mike.

well, i want to say that i'm happy to see that this hasn't turned into a bash thread & most of the people that have posted on here are actual customers... with that said, i bought a set of arms for my toyota from byc & i got strung along for about 6-7 months.  i actually did receive my parts, but when they did show up, they were decent quality...not great, not crap. if i would have done it all over again, i would have spent the extra money to get the cando arms (at the time they were a hell of a lot more), so if i were you, i would honestly see if you can have mike ship them COD & open them once you get them & inspect prior to payment... or if you're local, go pick them up.  that will ensure you receive them in a good timeframe & you can see what you're geting. good luck & i'm happy to see him finally getting his sh*t back together.

I deal with mike and he is an average guy just like all of us on here. He's just doing what he loves and tryin to make a living. BYC made arms for trucks that no one else did long before people mass produced them. They didn't get the r&d they should have. He is building stronger parts now using what he learned along the way. Kinda like the first people to do air ride back in the day probably look back and say, wow that wasn't safe at all, knowing what we know now. There is a learning curve to making a new version to a part that the vehicle manufacturer has thousands of design hours in.  I can say that he is trying to make things right with everyone these days. He is looking to move his shop right now but is making parts at his day job which is a fab shop.  If you've ever been arrested you understand second chances... People make mistakes. Give him a try.

I won't tell anyone else what to do, but my recent experience buying adjustable upper arms for my Colorado went fairly well. I'll admit I was kinda sceptical buying from him with all that I heard, but I'd been reading about alot of other people getting their parts and back orders being filled, so I decided to give him a chance. It took about 3 weeks to get my arms. When I ordered them he had a set just about done, but was waiting on some feed back from a set he sent out that needed an adjustment to the ball joint angle. After they were returned to him and he made the necessary adjustments to the first set, he waited on word that everything was ok. Once they were ok'd he made the adjustments to my arms and sent them out. I have not got a chance to install them yet, but they look and feel as though they should be plenty strong.

i ordered 88-95 isuzu uppers and lowers from him, i got them in a reasonable ammount of time, (i did ask for a minor change on the uppers) i had an issue w/ one upper arm. the thread in ball joint mount was out of round, i called him and he made me a new one w/o question and didnt even ask for the old one back. I would do business with him again

take it for what its for but my buddy ordered a trans. member for his newer model ranger, it was pretty basic for the money, but it didn't fit after 2 or 3 times he finally had one that fit. but said he'd make up for it on another order. but i have had problems out of cando when they were alter images, they took my money and ran, so really just watch what company you give any money to just my opinion.

The new piece fits so well it installs in 15 minutes and the price went down to 100 bucks. Also it was good enough that one company which wont be named here ordered one and 11 days later had a copy for sale. This same customer also just ordered the upper and lower arms for the same Ranger and will get the deal promised on it.   always pay with a credit card or paypal. Dont wait more than 90 days or paypal wont help and most card companies also use the 90 day rule.
