So I need a new gun. I have used an Iwata lph400 and I loved it, I know a lot of people that use it and love it. I has a great pattern and atomization. I used to have a sata jet 90 a long time ago and from what i remember i liked it to and I know a lot of people like this one too. anyway, If they were the same price I would not even hesitate to buy the Iwata, but like most people that dont make any money painting cars, Im am looking for a good gun and a good deal.  the Iwata is about 440 and the sata is about 250.  Now I realize its not worth saving money to buy something that sucks, (thats how i ended up with the Devibliss I hate) So thats why I am looking for some opinions. thanks.

I wouldnt buy a sata 90, too old and not my cup of tea. I used to have one back in the day.  I currently use nr3000, and its great, I also have a LPH-400, and a W-400, which are also both great. I feel the sata is a better over all gun, for a universal use. However the LPH-400 can be a little more forgiving to those that may not paint so frequently because of its material useage, and transfer efficiency.

yeah I was wondering about the w400. ive seen them for sale but never used one or heard anything about them.  how would you compare the w400 to the lph-400. the w is quite a bit cheaper from what ive seen.

I like w400 with silver cap for clear and lph400 with orange cap for base. I am getting a ls400 next week with both gold and chrome caps and hope to replace both of 400's with it.

ive used sata for 12 years now and love em....cant find the nr2000 anymore and the 3000 are good too but pricey......i actaully started using a spray gun from matco tools....120 new and i paint 5-9 cars a day and its still spraying great 8 months later.....just trying to give you options at different price ranges.

the w400 is very similar to the lph 400, but the w400 should be a reduced pressure gun, rather than an HVLP, I do enjoy it, and it produces a nice finish with clear, or single stages. I would also look into their new Supernova guns, they are very nice as well, I just recently bought one, and have been very happy with it.
