aluminium and stainless will eventually corrode guaranteed, but depending on the amount of weather they see will depend of how fast this occurs its usually several years on average. look at most over the road trucks, they will have stainless mirrors fasted to aluminum doors with aluminum rivets and they will corrode right there everytime. it might take 15 years but it will happen.

how long have you each used the setups you referenced. I am looking into which line clamps i want to get and have been leaning SS or plastic (by Made4you) but i like the look of your clamps.....of course i am in Florida with a high salt content in the air and steel rusts in minutes down here if left exposed so i assume the galvanic corrosion i mentioned will be expedited down here and i assume making the clamps out of SS would be super expensive

you could make a liner for the clamp out of delrin or something as long as the stainless and the aluminum arent touching then you shouldnt have the corrosion problem

Just some updates on this truck, the owner has been busy! He pulled the factory dash and AC and installed a 64 Corvair Greenbiar van dash and an under dash aftermarket AC unit. Then there is the obvious work out back, its really coming together!
