well, i got a new distributor, cap and rotor, and battery today, started but wouldn't run, i was about 3 millimeters away from selling, trading, or scrapping the damn thing just to be rid of it and maybe keep my wife from kicking my ass out of the house, but i went up to Jacks and we

1. got it running again (fucking finally, the dist, cap and rotor, and battery helped, but the throttle linkage was not tight enough and was shutting the butterfly on the throttle body, we just held it back a bit and it ran fine, smoked like a chimney and leaked oil like a sieve, but at least it ran!!)

2. got the windshield in

3. fixed the (hopefully only) air leak.

Got a long way to go, but i'm getting closer to finally getting to drive this bitch that has had insurance and a license plate for a year, but has never been on the road. Jack's going to rewire the gauges and get them all working and try to tuck up the spaghetti wires under the dash, i'm gonna get the dash stretched and painted, then i'm gonna bolt in all the seats and cruise it shitbox mode for a while. Coolest dad dropping off his kid at school, hopefully before the end of the school year, hahahahahahahahahaa

a new video teaser....

ok, apparently, i can't snipe facebook pics anymore due to the shitty new way of looking at pics on facebook. Go to www.facebook.com/bigfatjumbo to see the new pics.

not a whole lot going on lately, i almost traded it off at Showfest, but the more the guy hemmed and hawed, the more i hoped he'd back out, and finally i just loaded it back on the trailer and prepared to make the 3 hour extra round trip to bring it home, lol. I have a viair 480 mounted on it now so i can at least get it off the ground without having to drag out the pancake compressor and let it run for 30 minutes, but i still have to plumb and wire it, spark plugs are out getting sandblasted, hopefully that's why it won't run (or at least one of the main reasons), then i'm taking it to my boys to get the dash un-fucked and vintage air put in, then i'm gonna cruise it shitbox style for a while. I'll upload more pics when i get anything meaningful done.

that thing is fuckin ill my friend!!! i love burbans laid out!!! especially your bodystyle and of course C/Ks (i got me one!) did the dash just bolt right in? cause if it did that badass! and did yall have alift to take the body off the frame?

thanks, freak. The dash didn't bolt in, it fit but the steering column was way over on one side of the stock steering column hole, so it was cut off the drivers side and has a 4" gap on the passenger side so the column is centered in the hole. And no, the dash didn't bolt in, some square tubing was welded to the firewall to provide some mounting points, but it needs a lot more and some stiffer structure because right now it shakes and wobbles all over the place :D

any updates??

not really, it's finally at my house but i don't have time to work on it. The only time i can is after everyone goes to bed and i get all my work done, so i might get to work on it one night a week or so (since i spend most of the week out of town). That's the main reason i wanted someone else to do it, i just wanted to drive it. But so far, i've rebuilt all the valve t's (they were all leaking), put in check valves, replaced the front passenger bag (it had a titty in it), put the spark plugs back in (it runs but i have to keep on the gas, i think the throttle cable needs adjusted because when the gas is not pushed the butterfly in the throttle body shuts completely), but i still have to drill holes and bolt all the seats in, adjust the tranny, and hook up all the digital gauges before i can even think of driving it. I also jacked up the passenger front fender by dropping it off a jackstand onto a jackstand, lol, but i did pick up a nice donor with a straight body minus a motor and tranny for $150. So it's still a long way from driving, and i'm working on it as much as i can, but i just flat out don't have time. Because i don't have a shop, i have to figure out if what i'm going to do that night is worth dragging all the tools, lights, and fans out because i have to put them all back in the shop when i get done at 3am. Then i still have to get up at 7 with the rugrats :D SO it's coming along, but slower than molasses rolling off a roof on a cold morning.

update: the motor starts now, but it won't idle unless i have the gas mashed down a bit, the edc works much, much, MUCH better than the single viair 480, lol. I think i finally have all the air leaks chased down (the bags will stay up at least, it's been up for 2 weeks and has not dropped a millimeter), i think i finally fixed all the leaks on the tank this past friday, but i didn't get a chance to air it up until last night. Got the back window back up (again), the relay was bad. Next is to change out the power steering pump (and water pump since everything will be off) and figure out why the electric fans are not coming on. Wish me luck! hahahahahahahaha
