return of the fat kid (pic heavy)

only problem is: the only thing my wife wants is a 32 5 window, lol. I can't auction off my kidney and get enough for that....

not a whole shit ton of progress, but last night i wired my pass doors, both donor windows work :D and i got the gasket and front seal for my rear end, as soon as i get the water drained out of the rear end and grease put in, i gotta fix the filler neck of the gas tank (leaks) and route it so it's not inside the cab, then i'll get to drive it again :D :D ;D :D :D :D

then i gotta grind down the nuts for the rear spacers, get the headliner, fatmat, and carpet in, (and vintage air unit), then i'll be ready to drive it like i stole it!! I don't care how far along it is, i'm definitely driving the Fat Kid to Showfest this year!!!!!

again, not a ton of progress, i'm sure i'll do like always and wait till the night before Showfest to try to do everything, but i did finally get it aligned by a shop, who used shims instead of washers to space out the upper arms, first big bump i hit, the shims just let go and fell on top of my bag mount. Luckily i was able to limp it home and find out what happened, by the time i got home one of my bolts had broke. I had to be in Tennessee last week and my boss is riding with me this week, but hopefully i can get it put together enough to get it aligned again (with washers this time!) and drive it. When i got it aligned, i drove it 51 miles with no probs except the e fans not working (fixed now) and the hiccup with the shims...i'm freaking loving it!!!!

but here's a couple of pics i took that day before the (mis)alignment...

got the alignment thing fixed, drove it to my buddy's house to get the inner fenders put in and all the holes welded up in the floor, and to get the dash stiffened up, he's done, but can't get reverse to work. Yippee, tranny needs rebuilt. Oh well. At least when this is done, the whole fucking truck will be new. Rebuilt motor, tranny, all sensors replaced, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor, suspension, new seats, dash, etc, etc. So after this, i shouldnt have any problems. You hear that, God?? No more problems, ok????? I'm taking it an hour away on Tuesday to get the tranny rebuilt (with a shift kit :D ), because this dude is $400 less than the cheapest rebuilder around me. So hopefully by Tuesday night, i have some more driving vids for yall. That would make me very much happy.

Oh yeah, and props to Bob Grant for finding the pattern for the 3 piece rollpan that i ordered :D

oh yeah, forgot to mention that i got offered $9,000 cash today and turned it down, i'm so close, i want to see this damn thing through. Even if it does cost me my marriage....
