Good luck Mike! Family comes first and I'm sure the magazine business wears anyone down.

WOW! Thanks guys for all the support!!! Means a ton! If i take away even a few life-time friends like Bryan, Jen, and the rest then it was all worth it!!! You guys are the reason why we take the abuse, work the long hours, deal with all the stress and BS, because we love the scene just as much as you do! I'm not going to disappear, I will still be helping out on the mag and hitting shows so I know I'll see you around  THANKS BRYAN, it really means the world to know that I've made a difference!!!   4 LYFE

Hey everyone. Sorry I'm a little late to the party here, but I have been checking around the forum to see when this thread was going to pop up.  Let me first say CONGRATS to Mike on his new gig, and the great years he's spent as editor of one of my favorite magazines of all time. (Well, second runner up to Penthouse)You'll be sure to see him around the mag from time to time doing his thing. This isn't a complete "goodbye" to Mikey, but rather a "see you a little later, ya bastard!"  As some of you may already know, I've been the associate editor on Truckin' for a little over two years now, and have been helping Mike as the associate editor on Mini Truckin' at the same time. Actually, I think I've officially been on MT since the start of the year. Maybe Mike can help out with that, it's been a crazy year for all of us so far. What some of you might NOT know is that I was an intern at MT a little over 3 years ago when Mike and Ernie were tag teaming the mag. I think all I ever got out of that 3-month gig was a billet rear view mirror. Gee, thanks, Mike! I guess it worked out great in the long run though!  While with Truckin', I've had the opportunity to check out shows that I only used to read about in these magazines back in the day, and it's been awesome to meet a lot of the guys that are actually carrying the custom full size and mini truck scene—all of YOU!  I thank each and every one of you that have wished me luck and congratulated me over the last few days, and I do have some big, but terribly stinky shoes to fill in the absence of Mike as editor in chief, but I'm ready for the challenge.  I don't mean to write an entire novel here guys, but just wanted to officially check in. Guys, please feel free to shoot me an email anytime at John.Mata@SORC.com. Have a good rest of this Friday the 13th. Man, that date couldn't have come on a more appropriate week huh Mike? HAHA! See ya around fellas!!!!!
