when I did my front set up didn't have any issues swapping upper arms side to side. Along with taking 1/2" off the inner and outer tie rod end threads, raising upper mounts 2" or so & flipping the tie rod ends to under side of spindle along with ball joint flip. Never had had a shop alignment just had it done the old fashion way and its just fine.
Can adjust it all day long at any speed with no issues going down the road.

my other f150 is body dropped on a 295/35/24 ... lays on a 33" tall tire ... real similar setup except the uppers were also moved in for more camber to tuck as the fender curves (18mm offset was cutting it close)
has around 15" of lift

it still doesnt have more then 1/2" of change in toe

Im running stock spindles, stock uppers, djm lowers with cups and Re-6 bags...i get tons of lift and dont have any problems with toe..truck drives straight at any height, and i dont have have any abnormal tire wear.

and i lay frame on 265/35/22

I did an 03 exactly how Brian did his (thanks for the advice Brian)...the kids been driving the wheels off of it ever since. Ride height is just a few inches off the ground and it was aligned to specs...twice. The guy fell asleep on the way home from Border Bash and hit a ditch at highway speed...knocked it a lil out of whack. Far as I know the guy has zero problems out of it...
