Threads like this are over rated, lol. Actually people judging what other people do with their money/time/life seems to be one of the "scenes" biggest problems if you look at it.  You see a lot less of that in other types of scenes.  People just focus on having a good time, and forget the other meaningless details.

For me its1 Trophies2 Enclosed trailers.   I don't mind trailers or trailer queens, but you guys with enclosed trailes and dont even drive to a show 20 minutes away? You miss out! There will allways be a nicer something at a show, but the street is a whole new better game! Your display is not that important!!!!!!!!! 3 Local cops.   When I need them they arn't around and when I don't they are everywhere.

I'm going to chime in on the Dickies. I wear them everyday. I love those people who "dress up" for the shows in all their Dickies and when you see them out somewhere other than a show, the have their American Eagle and Hollister gear on! lololol. If you wanna be a person who dresses in Dickies to try and "fit in" during shows than find another scene. Im not saying all this because Im a badass and wear my dickies to bed but i just get tired of seeing people I know dressing for shows... just my .02

RESPECT

I too am tired of people that think being a mini-trucker is getting super drunk and being a disrespectful jackass in public.  I'm tired of all the obscene stickers on people vehicles.  The general public sees us as drunk demoralizing party-goers who have no self-respect or respect for others.  I can't stand watching others ruin the scene for those of us who are trully committed.  It's embarassing. I don't care what size wheels you have, who built your ride, how low it is, how many tv's you have, or anything else.  I'm here because I like building trucks, meeting cool people, and having a good time. -Ryan

Threads like this are useless. bitching about how people dress or how they choose to build thier trucks is over rated. If I have the ability and knowledge to stock floor my truck what business is it of yours. And somebody said it right, not only minitruckers wear dickies. If you think its a uniform think again. Dress however the fuck you want, you dont "have" to be a follower. Why doesnt anybody start a thread about the good things that minitrucks have done for you. How about  1. making friends.2. learning skills like welding and fabrication.3. Traveling, how many of you would get out of town let alone your state if it wasnt to go to a kick ass truck show.  This scene is full of negative nancys, wah wah wah. I look at the positive side of things. I love what I do. And guess what, minitrucking, is a part of my life, it is the way I live. And if you dont, I'm not goimg to knock you for it. To me this is more than a hobby, What I'm doing in five weeks from now has something to do with trucks, What I'm doing tomorrow has something to do with trucks. Is it sad? not for me, I love my life, my friends and my family, and I wouldnt change a thing. It's not for everybody but if it's my lifestyel, don't knock it. Sorry to rant, and let me add the disclaimer. this wasnt intended towards anybody in specific, just a general observation.  Ernie
