Update:
Brackets are in for the 6 link
I've delayed myself again by deciding that I will use a obs axle
the Obs axle is 4" narrower and the same lug pattern as the Chevy front

rear suspension finally under way

still have to remove the spring perches and clean up the OBS axle

fron drivers side

the bar going across will be turned into a crossmember with driveshaft hoop

one side will be adjustable the other will be solid

any opinions on the set upshould i make the link bars the same length or have the lower bar longer ive heard both minitrucker friend told me equal and a friend with a home built full 4 linked and bagged f250 (10" lift) said the one bar should be shorter to keep it from squatting

mocked up the 6 link but i think the dog bone is too long so ill have to lengthen the lift bar and shorten the dogbone

also note nothing is welded in so it looks very crooked

pics of the trans tunnel finished and the firewall rebuild to make room for the turbo

so one of the ford truck guys came down Friday and we got to work finishing the 6 link rear suspension

as of Sat night we got everything tacked into place and all bars are tacked up

we would have finished the passengers side but i misplaced a axle tab

so today we went into clean up mode

alot more parts on the ground then it looks but that is a f250 in pieces on the ground in front of my shop (minus what is upstairs)

good news is we found the tab

Dude that lift bar is way too far from the frameits going to be a problem. They should be lined up with the front link bars. And the dogbone should be no more than 4" from bolt hole to bolt hole. Also that frame must weigh a fucking ton! That's going to kill you on fuel. Nice build though. Awesome progress.

Assuming the lift bar is gusseted sufficiently at the rear mounting point and the bag is centered it will be fine. The 4" dimension is irrelevant because its based upon your desired lift and totally driven by the geometry of the suspension. A generic 4" is a worthless dimension without the geometry to back it up. As far as the frame weight goes... its a diesel... he may want to still use it as a diesel and haul a trailer or something.
