well here goes my part in the hater bitch part

where the front frame meets the undercab part why did you lay the frames side by side? ( already been asked by a couple people)
ok nevermind that part.....why is it only laid side by side about two inches?
that looks to me like it will fold up under it's own weight
two or three inches laid side by side and welded is not going to be strong enough to hold cab weight
the 10 to 12 inches of side by side in the rear might hold longer....but you better plate that or frame twist will kill it
and i dont get why you have three widths of frame....could you not of just run the rails (one piece ) all the way back to where the notch starts? ( no worries about rails folding up under the cab then)
the driveshaft hoop....wow...overkill....i dont think all the go-fast goodies in the world could get enough power out of that small motor, into the tranny (which would need to be beefed up) and into that driveshaft to warrant that much metal around it
i know you were trying to tie in the front crossmember theme into the rear...but there are more pieces that could be fabbed to tie in the theme ( bag brackets, shock mounts, tank mounts, rear crossmember )

and the welds where the rails are side by side....WTF?...boxing and plating would of been prettier than the chicken scratch globby welds. (again could of been remedied by the long one piece rails)

dont get me wrong i can see the ideas here and they are pretty cool
but good ideas and bad execution still make wasted time and scrap metal
i'm not trying to hate...i'm just offering my opinion
but the sema rush is over, dont booger up this build now

.......and this is my opinion.....i'm not and expert, i'm not anything
and i have nothing to do with this build......so dont say i'm hating

if you dont want someone saying they dont like it you got things to contend with here

1) dont post anything...no one can say anything bad....but you started a build thread...hence we want pictures...which is worse? a build thread with no posts or posting and getting a little constructive criticism?
2) you cant please everybody all the time....dont try...deal with it....you could of built the most beautiful frame in the world...but someone will still not like it
3) dont take it as hate...take it as we are saying what we see.......maybe you arent finished with that section of frame...whatever..(you can make explanations.....but not excuses)....but take it as us trying to help build amy the best truck she could get

ok...i'm done
that is all
have a nice day (or dont... it's still just my opinion)

there is still some finishing peices to attach ...the structure is the way i wanted it to be ....everthing i do has a day of metal finishings guess u just have to see ....thanks everyone for your opinion i dont have a set way of buildning a frame that i use every single time i like to change things up and try different things....frame did not take me but a few days to build but now that i have a little more time i can focus on the artist portion of it...i think when it finished i might be to change a few of the comments and maybe not ...i do know amy will like it and i know what look im going for ...whats in my head i think will look cool ...thanks again

It looks to me like he is trying to carry the overall look of the crossmember throughout the whole frame. It may be heavy and not the way others would do it but if he gussets things and grinds and fills and paints it, it should look cool from underneath. I just want to see it finished someday. Keep going.

thanks for your thoughts just trying to keep positive flow and bad comments(meaning constructive critics) is fine i almost welcoome it....but out and out talking trash does nothing or at least i think its just a childish waste of typing....just sayinthank you very much for your assessment you make some good points and i have thought of them before hand maybe you will change your mind later maybe not...i hope you like it at some point.....the welds in the back will be used to shape later and also were used as heat to zero that part of the frame that moved on me.....everything in hopes will flow together when all is said and done...we will see right? again thanks i will never turn these kind of comments away

exactly my point ....not the way others may do it....i strive to build different...i will tie everything in together and my finish work will make it all look like one piece...thank you im glad you see wear i might be going with this and i think you may really like it when its all done...what i like the most about it is that i can put this under almost any truck with some adjustments to lengths and widths.... a universal frame is more off what i was going for...thanks again

What does that mean?

Ive been welding in one form or another for most of my adult life. I dont get the idea that if something "moved" on your, just add more heat.

Bassicly, all you are trying to relay is that all the poor quality welds that are on the frame right now, are going to get ground down, so you cant see them any more right? So, then they will just be poor welds that are ground down.

How hard is it to just weld correctly the first time? If you lay down a nice bead that is strong, has a good crown and is not contaminated, you can grind that down as well. Just because you are metal finishing the welds, dosent mean you should just turn that wire speed up and pour it in there.

Im sure your probably sick of people questioning your every move. It would get to me as well. Thats probably why i didnt voulenteer to build a mini for free for 2011 SEMA.

i didnt have it centered out to my perfection bs....so when i welded the back on it pulled a little....my welds were nice i just some times like to build them up and make them look like a small radius when ground down......i can weld fine and i feel like i do better than most not as good as few on certain things....take into consideration i have only been fabricating for five years but have done a ton of sheet metal work....u will show you then the final pick you will say ooooooohhh i see wellll you could have done it easier this way lol....then next time i will try it haha........ here is the update ....amy whit is no longer wanting her truck build by me...thats fine she is the boss....tried to talk to her and convince her and can talk to anyone else they wont even let me talk....they are good people but i guess they cant wait and have a ton of friends to get it done....chris at auto culture donated all his stuff to her kurt donated all his work....i have too many sponsors i promised a truck for and all the contest rule were broken before i started any build at all....i am getting another body and cab in a week already paid for and i will finish all of this on my own .....this is now a showcase for the sponsors that still are involved and i plan on parking it in each location or business or doing something to benifit .....i will do what i can but i am not begging anyone anymore for me to finish a free truck shouldnt have to....build is still on best wishes to amy and her truck i hope its all she ever wanted....all of her truck is still intacked just needs the airride put back in and the body back on.....i did this because there were earlier scares....to all that want to know my shop is now back on track and caught up...i got my life back...sold my contenental ....and im moving out to a new location ....in three weeks or less already set up a mile away...better facilities wAY BETTER.....times are bad lost the shop need to move....almost lost my family, friends, home, and myself but i wont go down....on my way back up so fast make your head spin....got lucky i guess.....i will post pics soon thanks
