Finally got the truck in the garage. There was soo much stuff stored on that side too.

But it's in there until I finish the front and get it to the inspection station.

Here's a few more shots...

Suicide dorrs..

Viair 444's

Opened up my ragtop instructions.. and they haven't changed since the last time I bought one! lol

The watts link in back and the lower ball joints in front limit the lift but after a couple of minor fixes it should get a couple more inches of lift. Donkalicious.

Just for a comparison.

Please don't think i am trying to rain on your parade but the gap between the notch and the wheel seems to small. when you articulate over uneven ground it will hit the notch. Maybe you have already addressed this, I didn't read the whole thread but it is a sweet build and I wanted to throw that in there so you don't ruin your wheels

Yeah, I am planning on building a new frame from the firewall back this fall when I throw in the 350. But good lookin out man. I didn't really plan very well with the notches, but it was only temporary anyhow. Shouldn't articulate too much with the setup I have in the rear. At ride height I hit my valves side to side just to see what happens in that situation, and the only problem I have is my tires rub at full tilt. But I have a lot of room for normal driving articulation. But yes, you're right, if I have the truck bulldogged or when I'm riding pretty low on some uneven surfaces it'll probably hit.

But with the crappy roads we have here I can't drive too low. Our tax dollars hard at work!

Lol, but I'm sure that'll be just one more thing to keep in mind when I learn how the truck behaves when I drive it. Thanks man.

Front bags are in..

Viair 444's installed..

Bags? Done.

Finally got my front bagged this weekend. I spent more time playing with the switches than I did bagging the truck.. fun stuff.

I still have some tweaking to do here and there on a few things but she goes up and down on her own now which was a great feeling. There's a lot of finish grinding and painting I need to do, shimming body panels, reworking the rear suspension a tad. But for the most part it's on schedule for TexMex.

I have my two drive shafts in my car ready to take to the shop to have the Nissan and toyota shafts mated and shortened.

I have all my hardware to finish plumbing in the Viairs, bought some brake line and a flaring tool to start running new lines up front.

Getting a red top Optima to replace the crappy battery I have, which I relocated into the extended cab.

Next order of business.. suicide doors, body work and shaving up the truck, interior stuff.

But first I'm gonna drive the shit out of this bitch!

Ok, got the Nissan and Toyota driveshafts over at Driveshaft King.. so far, super nice guys. Seem to know their stuff.

They even had the part on the shelf that adapts the Toyota u-joint to the Nissan mounting flange on the carrier bearing. They are also putting in a slip yoke and everything was ready within 3 days! Picking it up Friday.

This weekend: I'm welding the driveshaft hoop into the 4 link crossmember, then installing the driveshaft.. got the pads for the front brakes and got some brake line and a double flaring tool to make all new front lines.. I have already installed the dual Viair 444's, just gotta run the pressure switches and relays..

and after that..

drive time!!!!

I can't wait. I haven't driven it since it was static dropped, before the madness began! This gives me a few days to drive it around a little before TexMex.

I have a few bugs to work out with things here and there such as making new upper control arm mounts that will allow me to push the camper out at a lower drive height, I also have the rear disc brake conversion to finish, the cantilevered rear reservoir shock system to build, narrowing and flush mounting the front Toyota bumper, suicide doors, shaving everything... and a few other things to do before Scraping the Coast!

I'll post some pics and video once I get a chance.

I've been a busy little boy..

Here's what I did this weekend:

Amazingly all the half-assed math in my head worked out..

I have tubing cut and the holes drilled.. It will look kinda like the watts link when I'm done.

Should have the other cantilever built today at work (yeah, it's slow and it's cool like that here) and if the weather is decent I should have it mounted up tonight.

Doesn't look like I'll be driving around at the show. I still have my exhaust to run and I need to address the frame issue in the rear being so close to the 22's. It rubs a bit when I have any body roll. I don't have time to fix it before the show, so I'm focusing on other items I still have on my list, but the 720 will definitely be there.

Texmex is this weekend! Can't friggin wait!!
