I sat at my computer for hours last night crying. Barely slept, this morning my heart continues to be broken. Positive thing is seeing everyone sharing stories and thoughts about him. Even people that didn't know him are showing respect. Support is amazing and I thank you all for that. He was the best kind of person, we all need to be more like him. I am truly heartbroken and I will miss you. RIP Courtney Halowell

OH MAN! This is terrible! Courtney was the nicest, coolest cat to ever cover the truck shows. I credit him with the tremendous success Showfest enjoyed the years after he put his pencil to paper and wrote such great articles about the show. He never came off as elitists or above you in any way and made you feel at ease the moment you met him. He was always in a good mood and seemed to look to the bright spots in any situation. He will be missed beyond measure. I'm so sorry for his family and wish them comfort in knowing Courtney made this world a little better just by being Courtney. You'll be missed brother.

I had the honor of having Tito as a friend for a great number of years. No matter how busy his crazy life was, he always found the time to somehow keep in touch. He truly was an influential member of all of our lives. Where would any of us be without Wyatt Strange? It's a very sad time for us...

I remember hauling Tito around in several different vehicles at several different shows 'round the country. Of I was there he would ask me to drive him while he shot rolling feature shots because "you wont get a ticket, Ronnie!"

I will always remember the kind hearted, always there for you kind if guy he was. I will miss him greatly, as the vast majority of the custom vehicle world will as well. God speed, Courtney.

This is definately a hard one to swallow. The custom community, and the world, has lost a great inspriation. I only had the privilage of running into Courney on a couple different occasions, but he was always personable, and a great guy to talk to. His work in the industry speaks volumes, and he will most definately be missed..

RIP Courntey...

Day 2 and it's not a bad dream. I tried to sleep - but tossed and turned. Tried to go to work, but never made it out the door. The impact Tito has had on my life is immeasurable.

I think quite a few of us woke up this morning feeling emptier inside and lost. We love you brother! Everytime I hear thunder, I am going to now think it's you making the heavens laugh, just like you used to make all of us.
