rip tito we have lost a very important person in minitruckin. courtney and the rest of the nc socal chapter really molded what minitruckin is today

I started reading MT in 89 and also used to love reading his articles and had similar feelings as russd. I met him briefly at Slamfest some years ago and was also amazed that I was meeting THE guy from MT. my meeting with him was short, but share all the feelings already mentioned.

RIP

This is definately a hard one to swallow. The custom community, and the world, has lost a great inspriation. I only had the privilage of running into Courney on a couple different occasions, but he was always personable, and a great guy to talk to. His work in the industry speaks volumes, and he will most definately be missed..

RIP Courntey...

I guess you can say I am lucky to have grown up in So Cali and have been lucky enough to have met and known Courtney for a while.. I think the last time I actually talked to him was at one of the last Reso's.. I could almost swear it was the last but I'm not 100%.. We were looking at a few of the trucks that were out there and he was commenting on how one of the trucks out there was a nice "Show truck" while the other would be a good "Magazine" truck.. I was cool to sit there and pick his brain for awhile..

I think the best thing that I can say about him is while he always knew he was "that guy" Courtney never acted like "that guy". He was always easy to approach and he never put himself above you..

Courtney, it was nice know you and to be known by you... Rest in peace... You'll be missed..

I've been trying to put my thoughts into words for a few days now, ever since my good friend Brett called me with the news that my friend, brother, mentor in life passed away suddenly on Thursday. Seeing all of the kind words and stories everyone has posted has made it even more difficult to put together...It has really helped me to see how many lives the man we so affectionately called "Tito" has touched, he simply was an amazing person. I will never forget you! R.I.P. Courtney "Tito" Halowell. May your legacy live on forever.

I had the pleasure of meeting Courtney several times, and was always impressed with how down to earth he was.

A true minitrucker pioneer.

I was lucky enough to have Courtney choose my truck for an Editor's Choice award, that was a true honour.

RIP Courtney, clearly you will be missed and not forgotten by many.
