No one can just take the name and remake the site? or thats not how it works? I like its setup now.

I may come off as the ahole here, but I can't stand when I see an owner or CEO blame the decline of his/her business on it's members and clients.
Too many excuses IMO opinion. It's absurd that a site that was as big as SSM was a few years ago is closing up shop.

In all honesty I used to be on the SSM forums night and day but then I bought a house, got married, had my son, and started a career. Hard to find time to even get on the internet much less dedicate that time to one particular site. I hate to see it go to but it is what it is.

That domain comment would probably be useful information to the 3 people that have asked in other threads.
