As far as what's been noted already my vote currently goes to the D50. I also have not had the pleasure of seeing it in person, but I can tell the amount of work and creativity into it pushes it beyond the other choices.Things that put it on top for me:1. The roof rack2. Unique choice for 2-tone style 3. Incredible interior4. Super clean bed treatment 5. UNDER THAT HOOD! 6. The custom bodyline in the tailgate (I can't believe this didn't even get a mention in the minitruckin spread) The Tacoma from sunset (which I have seen in person) is also one of my favorite trucks in the scene right now. Also it has that "Transformation Factor" since the truck looked completely different a year earlier. As for Jeremy's black Mazda... Well Jeremy you know I want to make sweet passionate love to your old Mazda, but in the long run it wouldn't achieve minitruck of the year without more under the hood and more going on with the frame underneath. Also I don't see minitruckin giving truck of the year to a truck that wasn't a cover truck. There is something completely hypnotizing about that truck and it is surely one of my faves. Hell, we wouldn't have featured it if it wasn't a great build! One truck that probably won't make it into this years batch, but is going to be a definite contender next year is Ahab's Toyrover. That is a great ground up build with extremely creative small details and a headlight conversion on a truck that actually looks right.
