just wondering what length to order the arms or if i need to run 3/4 brakes now if the crossmember is narrower thanks

The front cross members are the same for all the squarebody regardless of tonnage and number of rear wheels. So you probably could use the ssd cross member and your stock arms and stuff if you like.

It's going to be hard to know what length to order your arms until you get you wheels and tires and take some measurements, you could go by what other people have done but that might not be the way you want yours set up.

i talked to the tech guy at ssd and they don't have a crossmember that will work on a 1 ton the frame is to different so it won't bolt up. as for the arms i guess i will have to get the porterbuilt crossmember first the only problem is that you can use your stock upper arms but not the lowers.

i got my porterbuilt dropmember in yesterday. nathan said you have to use the bushing half of the lowers from a 1/2 ton set with the ball joint half from the 1 ton. does that make sense?

so your saying i need to use 1/2 ton a arm bushings with 1 ton ball joint than i can use my stock lower arms?

TWO sets of arms. on half ton set , one 1 ton set. Cut both sets in half. Mate the bushing side of the half ton piece to the ball joint side of the one ton piece. Viola DIY 1 ton drop member arms. if the drop member didn't already narrow the track width this would be a perfect time to section a little out of the arms.
