The white does look nice. Like said before maybe the bowtie, but to much won't look right.

But it aint my truck.

Thanks for the insight! I think a billet grill and white bowtie would finish it off...for now

I wasn't sure if I would like the plastics painted so I didn't put that much effort into them, I wet sanded them and got them somewhat smoother than they were but they are still lookin' like acne

i HATE wet sanding. but when i do mine im smoothing all my plastics. everylittle things thats rough plastic black is geting smoothed. its going to suck big time but i think colormatched plastics look awsome.

i say smooth and paint everything white. it will look bad ass imo.

Well I haven't been posting on here much since all of the login problems....But figured I would update whats been going on. Really have not spent much time on my own truck because I have been busy at the shop but here is my progress so far.
This started out as just washing the truck, then I was extremely disappointed with all of the scratches and junk in the paint, so I started to wet sand and buff her, then got carried away and next thing you know the bed side is off and I'm down to the fiberglass....LOL

Here is what both sides looked like, cracks everywhere and just pure junk in the clear

I started by wet sanding the entire driver side

The driver side had the biggest chunk missing, almost worth buying a new bedside! but at $800 a pop for a used one around here I figured I would give it a whirl.

That side also had a large crack in the back bottom

Here is the first 4 layers of fiberglass

And then with some mud and ready to block sand

And the rear crack glassed up and blocked out ready for some mud

I am also shaving the gas door

To build where the large crack was I used drywall edging metal to create a frame and then used-mesh for a inner structure, I have 8 total coats of glass (6 front and 2 rear) in the pics it looks a little distorted but thats just how it was laying on the saw-horses. I have that front crack and the gas door mudded up and blocked out ready to prime in the morning and finish.
