eeehm people called : they want to know where there structural steel is for that skyscraper they are building ..............
you might go a little smaller on the steel maibe section the wide part of the U in the steel before mounting it making it tapered and slimmer ...... its just too massive

yep,the notch is way to big...

it's really the nature of the beast though. i cut 4 inches off the bottom of the frame.. z'd it almost 5 inches. so the notch of course has to be outrageously tall to go over the axle tubes.

let me see what i can do about putting some angle into it. hopefully make it look a little smaller..

back to the drawing board..

ive got some 2x4x.25 tubing... just bought 60 feet of it

damn, now that is alot of steel.. are you building a new frame for your truck?

i have a 6 foot piece of 2x4.25 i bought for the c-notch originally. but i thought i would use the 3x5 since my frame is 3 inches wide. the 2x4 looks small compared to the original frame. the 3x5.25 is beefy as hell...lol

this weekend its supposed to be around 50 degrees..i am going to get the cab back off , and put the engine, trans, and get both driveshafts connected to the rear. i need to find out exactly where my c-notch is going to be. i would hate to put it in the wrong place ...lol

awesome man, glad to hear more progress !! and by the way, your truck looks sick as hell all laid out in that other post. the one with no front wheels .

thanks big bear... i forgot to add that pic...

by underslung. do you mean like putting the c notch upsidedown ? i haven't thought of that before.. thanks comegetsome...

yeah but its not a upside down notch your whole frame is under the rear end...all you gotta do is tie into where you stopped your tubing under cab for bodydrop...but you gonna have to rethink your 4 link, bed mounts,ect...heres a pic of one for a 01 extended cab silverado

that seems real complicated...i dont know about doing mine like that.

it would still look cool if i were to put the c-notch upside down. if it would allow enough lift... i could mount my bags on my link bars..

ive got some 3x3 layin around too, its gunna need some cleaning up but might help ya make it "smaller"

yeah im in the middle of building my frame from the clip(camaro) back . its all cut and main rails welded shut to make the air tanks... just need to start puttin it together. ( for my 1963 unibody )
